Making your Xbox One controllers work with your game console is a little different than just plugging them in, like in the old days. Luckily, console makers have made syncing wireless controllers relatively easy.

Step 3: On the Xbox One X and Xbox One S, the Connection button is on the bottom right corner of the front of the console, beneath the power button. Pressing the button should trigger the white Xbox logo to start blinking, indicating that the console is searching for a controller signal.

Microsoft has announced a 10-year partnership with Nvidia aimed at bringing Xbox PC games to its cloud gaming service competitor Nvidia GeForce Now as part of its ongoing efforts to win over companies skeptical of its potebtial Activision Blizzard acquisition. This means that players can use Nvidia GeForce Now to play the Steam, Epic Games Store, or Windows versions of titles like Halo Infinite, Redfall, and eventually, Call of Duty through the cloud on GeForce Now. Third-party publishers with games on the Windows Store can also now grant streaming rights to Nvidia. This announcement came during a European Commission hearing where Microsoft tried to convince regulators that its impending acquisition should bne allowed.Microsoft has been under a lot of regulatory scrutiny even since it announced its intent to acquire Activision Blizzard in January 2022. It's trying to win over industry peers with deals like this one with Nvidia. This week, the Communications Workers of America voiced its approval of the deal, and Microsoft has signed a binding agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms as well. Previously, Nvidia had raised concerns about Microsoft's Activision Blizzard acquisition, but the press release announcing this agreement states that the deal "resolves Nvidia's concerns," and that Nvidia now gives "full support for regulatory approval of the acquisition." Regulatory bodies in the U.S., U.K., and Europe are worried that Microsoft acquiring Activision Blizzard will hurt the game industry and sabotage Microsoft's competitors in both console and cloud gaming. Nvidia GeForce Now is seen as one of the biggest competitors to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate's cloud service offerings, which makes it surprising that it reached an agreement with Nvidia. However, this deal also demonstrates how Microsoft is willing to make concessions so that its acquisition of Activision Blizzard is approved.

Amazon UK is one of the few retailers with stock of the Carbon Black controller, which was newly added today (it was sold out yesterday). Third-party prices on Amazon for the black controller start at 93.99, nearly double the official price.

The situation appears to be similar in many regions, with Resetera forum users discussing their difficulty in locating controllers in various countries including Australia, France, the Netherlands and Germany.

For now, anyone in Europe looking for an official Xbox Wireless Controller will have to either hope they get lucky and find one in stock somewhere, or go with less straightforward methods such as buying a customised controller via the Xbox Design Lab.

While the new Xbox controller does not break the mould from what came before, there are some nice changes. It feels better to touch, taking a screenshot or recording a video clip has never been easier, and the joypads move are more freely than they ever did on past versions.

Your Xbox Series X/S controller does have a USB-C port, though, are those connections are becoming the norm for more and more gadgets and devices now, so you should have an extra couple of wires knocking about already. If you run out of battery, then, you can plug the controller directly into your console and use it in a wired way. But it won't charge up unless you buy an extra product!

Thinking long-term, if you want to charge your Xbox controller up repeatedly, you will want to invest in a rechargeable battery pack, a controller charging station or some rechargeable AA batteries to put in your controller. Any of those three options will allow you to fulfil all your Xbox controller charging needs. For more of this, check out our guide to the best rechargeable batteries.

If you're wondering, can I charge my Xbox controller with a phone charger? The answer to that question if a yes with caveats. If your phone charges via a USB-C cable, you'll want to buy an Xbox battery pack (like the one linked below) that also uses USB-C. That's if you're dead-set on the idea of using the same charger for both devices.

Xbox has kept it simple by also allowing us to use good old fashioned batteries, and buying rechargeable ones is a very wise idea. We'd argue this option is better than buying a rechargeable battery pack, because actual AA batteries could come in handy for a great number of things besides your controller needs.

Just keep a spare set of batteries in the charger and swap them when the ones you are using run out. That way you will always have a charged pair ready to put in so you will never be caught off guard with a powerless controller.

Have you been wondering, does Xbox Series X have a charging station? The answer to that question is yes, too. There are loads of third-party charging stations listed online, like the one linked below that can juice up two controllers at a time.

There you have it, then - three solid options for Xbox controller charging. And if you're wondering, do Xbox One controllers work with the Series X? Yes, they do! So you can use your old controllers in much the same way.

Wired controllers cost about half as much as wireless options. And many gamers say they eliminate the input lag of wireless controllers. Furthermore, it means the controller won't die on you in the middle of gameplay, and you can save on buying batteries.

Now, turn on your console and wait a few seconds until the Xbox button on the controller and on the console both glow solidly. You're synced. You can now unplug the controller and use it wirelessly.

The Xbox One controller is also compatible with the Xbox Series XS. If you are using the wired controller, then all you have to do is plug it into the USB port in front of the Series XS, turn on the console, and you're good to go.

The same goes for wireless controllers when using a micro-USB cable. When you plug the cable into your controller and into your powered console, the gamepad will vibrate once and then turn on, meaning it has synced. You can then remove the micro-USB cable and use it wirelessly.

To sync the Xbox One controller to the Xbox Series XS, just press and hold the Pair button to switch on the controller. The Xbox button will begin to blink. Now locate the Pair button on the console; it will be on the front, on top of the USB port.

With the controller in the Xbox Design Lab, the flags are on the top part of it, but people can further customize parts on the controller such as thumbsticks, triggers and bumpers to show more representation for their specific community. 041b061a72
